OUR MISSION
DE LA SALLE COLLEGE is a Faith Community which provides quality educational
opportunities for its students. It challenges and supports young men to reach
their full potential in the tradition of St John Baptist De La Salle.
It is a community nurtured by the love of God, inspired by the Person of Jesus
Christ and committed to Gospel Values. Each member, in coming to a thorough
knowledge and deep understanding of God, is encouraged to work for justice,
reconciliation and freedom, in the wider community.
It is a family of students who are ‘brothers’, whereby each member is valued and
appreciated for his unique gifts. The challenges of youth are supported by an
understanding, firm and compassionate staff who promote self-discipline and
hope.
It is a centre of learning which caters for a wide range of students’ talents
and needs. It invites students to strive for personal and educational goals by
providing a broad curriculum and innovative methodologies. This centre of
learning enables students to prepare for life and work after graduation.
It is a place of partnership between parents, pupils, pastors and the wider community
and acknowledges that this collaborative approach to education provides the
best possible opportunities for students. The partnership is founded on a
multicultural community where respect and responsibility for the individual,
for society and the nation is essential to promote understanding, tolerance and
integrity.
It is an institution where good resources and quality facilities are
provided to ensure that a meaningful education is achieved.
